The bond you have with your dog is already something special. Let's build on it.

That's exactly where we begin.

A tan dog with a white chest sitting on a blue rug in front of a door, with eyes half-closed.

The love was never the problem.

The bond between a person and their dog is one of the most remarkable things in the world. And when that bond feels strained, frustrating, or just harder than you expected, it matters. You're right to want more for both of you.

Love brought you here. Let's give it the tools it deserves.

Dogs are always doing their best, with the skills they have, in the environments we put them in, and whatever life has handed them along the way. That's not a behavior problem. That's a dog trying.

At Cool Dog Crew, behavior is never a mystery. It's information. And information gives us a starting point, a direction, and a path forward, together.

Here is how we work together.

Every dog is different. So we start there.

We talk about your dog, their struggles, their strengths, what lights them up and what overwhelms them. From that conversation we build a plan that sets your dog up to truly thrive, not just get by.

Sometimes that means a private one-on-one consultation with a personalized behavior plan. Sometimes it means you and your dog are a perfect fit for New to the Crew, my onboarding class designed to build a strong foundation from the very beginning. And sometimes the right starting point is an online session or a free resource, wherever you are in the world.

Either way, you don't get a generic answer. You get the right next step for your dog.

A little about my training.

I became a certified Pro Dog Trainer through Absolute Dogs, founded by Tom Mitchell, veterinarian, veterinary behaviorist, and one of the most influential forces in modern dog training, and Lauren Langman, an internationally acclaimed agility champion who has represented Great Britain at the World Agility Championships. From there I continued my education with courses through Suzanne Clothier, Denise Fenzi, and the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy.

In November, 2025, I began pursuing my Behavior Expert Diploma through Canine Behavior College under Tom Mitchell, a rigorous, science-forward program that has deepened everything I do. The program is a Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Canine Behavior in England which is academically equivalent to the final year of a university Bachelor’s degree with Honors in the U.S.

My approach is rooted in the behavioral science principles of Dr. Susan Friedman, one of the most respected voices in applied behavior analysis — because understanding why behavior happens is the only place real change begins.

I've been working with dogs and their humans in the Fredericksburg area for years, in group classes, private consultations, and everything in between.

Every dog I've worked with has taught me something.
